FLSP will conduct the final Michigan Department of Transportation Adopt-A-Highway litter pick-ups in 2024 on Monday - September 23.  We will start the clean-up at 5 p.m. We will meet at the camping check-in and dump station parking lot. We need 10 to 12 volunteers to pick up trash along the northernmost 2-mile stretch of M-116 FLSP has adopted.  If we have additional volunteers, we will add nearby areas such as the beach or south trails. Participants are asked to bring their gloves and to review the safety video MDOT requires Safety Guidelines for the Adopt-A-Highway Program.
