FLSP will conduct three Michigan Department of Transportation Adopt-A-Highway litter pick-ups in 2024 on the following dates: Tuesday - April 16; Monday - July 15; and Monday - September 23.  We will start the clean-up on each of the three dates at 5 p.m. Those interested in helping are welcome to join us in the warming shelter parking lot just past the contact station at Ludington State Park.  For the September 23 event, we will meet south of the entrance and river. We need 10 to 12 volunteers to pick up trash along the northernmost 2-mile stretch of M-116 FLSP has adopted.  If we have additional volunteers, we will add nearby areas such as the beach, the Lake Michigan beach house access and parking area, etc. Participants are asked to bring their gloves and to review the safety video MDOT requires Safety Guidelines for the Adopt-A-Highway Program.
