Introducing EMILY

On Thursday, August 29, FLSP joined the Friends of Ludington Police to recognize the donation of two EMILY (Emergency Integrated Lifesaving Lanyard) devices. One device will be stored at Stearns Beach and one at the Ludington State Park (LSP). While the one at the LSP will be primarily available to LSP Rangers all emergency responders from multiple agencies will have access to both devices.

FLSP sincerely thanks John and Anita Wilson for their generous donation, which funded both EMILY devices. We also thank the Community Foundation for Mason County for their involvement. You can learn more about the EMILY devices here.

Adopt-a-Highway Clean-up

You can join FLSP volunteers to keep LSP clean by registering and attending the Adopt-a-Highway clean-up on September 23.

Guided Hikes - Remain on Vacation

Because of the park closure, a guided hike will not be held this month. Guided hikes on the south side of the river may resume starting in October.
